A UFO has been spotted hovering over Melbourne’s southeast as residents report they’ve never seen anything quite like it.
Flashing red, green, and blue, the light sat still over Carnegie for more than an hour.
“It’s really weird,” Toni Koromilas said, taking a video of the flashing lights from her sister’s Carnegie home.

'Space City' Houston UFOs Look For An Explanation

When UFOs fly over a metropolitan area known as "Space City," it's safe to assume explanations for the sightings also will fly.
During an Aug. 11 rain storm in Houston, some odd lights were photographed above the city that's home to the Johnson Space Center, headquarters of NASA's Mission Control. Groups of aerial lights were seen maneuvering and changing their configurations in the sky, while others were photographed in a distinct circular pattern.

Melbourne researcher Paul Dean has spent decades searching for the truth about reported UFO sightings

PAUL Dean, 35, from Nunawading, is a senior researcher with Victorian UFO Action, a group dedicated to investigating UFO sightings. He has spent decades searching for the truth about reports of unidentified flying objects.

As told to SARAH MARINOS, this is a SnapShot glimpse into Paul’s extraordinary life:
FROM as far back as I can remember I was always technically and scientifically minded. As a kid growing up in the eastern suburbs, I enjoyed learning about physics, astronomy and aviation.
But when I was 13 a close family member told me something that triggered my lifelong interest in UFOs. He told me about a sighting near Shepparton in 1975.
He was 25 years old then and in the army and as he was driving alone one night he saw a massive white light through the trees ahead.
It looked like a train headlight but as the light rose higher into the sky he thought instead that there must be something like a grain silo ahead with a bright white light on top. UFOs above Houston puzzle Texans (VIDEOS)

Sky gazers in the Lone Star State are still scratching their heads as they look for an explanation behind mysterious sets of lights photographed earlier this month over the city of Houston.
Images taken on August 11 during a rain storm and posted to social media have had some Texans for nearly two weeks now trying to identify what select skeptics say is an unidentified flying object, or UFO.
The pictures of what looks like a glowing circular object in the sky over Houston were such a hit on the internet that a local NBC affiliate reached out to experts earlier this month in hopes of taking the “U” out of “UFO.”

Mysterious lights spotted in Texas skies, is that a UFO flying?

New York: Several people reported seeing a ring of of blinking lights in the sky in Texas during a recent lightning storm and have claimed that it was a UFO.


A lot of pictures and videos have been circulated on social networking sites and the best footage was recorded by Houston musician Andrew Pena, who he was videoing the spectacular lightning show while driving, the New York Post reported.

In the video, a circle of brightly colored lights is seen moving around in the sky and UFO-logists have called it "amazing".

However, Tutual UFO Network chief investigator Fletcher Gray denied that it was a UFO and dismissed the object as "no more than light trapped in the side window" of Pena's car.

The Unidentified Foreign Object ( UFO) was cited hovering less than 12.5 mi from the Johnson Space Center.

Other images of the mysterious sightings include one of the objects, apparently on its side, putting on a light display for onlookers. While some pictures show the flying object in clouds, other shows it against plain sky.
"I think the trick in UFO's is figuring out what else they could be. It's easy to say that could be the aliens," Carolyn Sumners, vice president for astronomy at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, said.
Sumners investigates UFO's, and is in the process of writing a show about the controversial subject.
Proponents of the idea that aliens are visiting the Earth, as well as skeptics, let their voices be heard on social media.

UFO watchers spot mysterious bone-like object on Mars-I THINK STONES?

The latest oddity spotted by bloggers who follow the images coming from Mars rover Curiosity doesn't take a lot of imagination to see.

According to UFO Blogger, the rover captured the image on Aug. 14.
It's the latest in a string of fossilized animals  and other unexplained phenomena that bloggers have reported.
These sightings include an iguana, a cat, a dinosaur spine, two dinosaurs, a mysterious light, a toy boat, a half-human and half-goat face and a rock that popped up from one image to the next when the rover wasn't on the move (see all the photos above). NASA itself was initially puzzled by that one but determined the rock changed position when the rover turned in place and pushed the rock.
Curiosity has been on Mars since Aug. 6, 2012. It completed its first Martian year -- 687 Earth days -- on ne 24.
