Twas the week before Christmas in 1966, when twenty-three-year old Vincent and two pals decided to do a little winter fishing. The winter weather was rather temperate for December so they decided to do their fishing at a spot along the Hudson River, about 40 miles north of New York City. To the east of them, on the shore of the Hudson, was the Indian Point Nuclear Power Station. On the western shore of Hudson was Harriman State Park. The three young men were involved with the art of their fishing when suddenly something strange was spotted in the sky over or near Lake Tiorati deep in the Harriman forests. Vincent tells us, “Suddenly a rare object of bronze color appeared, making no noise and its size was approximately 6 meters” (diameter). Twenty-three-year old Vincent snapped four photos. Later the US Air Force – Project Blue Book representatives later did a scant investigation and quickly labeled the sighting photos a hoax. Later the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) studied the photos and interviewed the three men who witnessed the UFO event. A UFO enthusiast has found what they believe to be definitive proof that a UFO was monitoring the Apollo missions, in particular Apollo 15. Searching through the archive footage and photos from the mission, they found one particular image that suggested there might have been something watching the astronauts. The red laser incident marks the third time since mid October that the NASA video feed has captured what UFO watchers believe to be an alien craft in close proximity to the International Space Station. But while in the previous two sightings the supposed UFO appeared to be merely observing the space station in operation, this time, whatever the entity is — or is not — seems to be taking aggressive action toward our planet.

UFOs show up all over the world, making seemingly random appearances -- except, of course, for the many that are easily created via various software, posted online and promoted as the "real thing," whatever that real thing is. But every once in a while, and over a relatively short period of time, reports of unidentified flying objects emerge from the same geographic area, and for no apparent reason. During 2014, Medellin, Colombia, became one of those places. An extraterrestrial investigator is looking into UFO sighting claims in Northumberland – and he is keen to hear from anyone else who may have seen the strange object. Karl Webb, a British Field Investigator for the Mutual UFO Network (Mufon), contacted the Gazette last week, as part of his attempts to substantiate the report. The object, which was said to be moving at a steady speed, allegedly passed over the Hadston area and went towards Amble one evening last month. Mr Webb said: “I am currently dealing with a sighting that took place at around 7pm to 7.30pm on Saturday, November 22. “The main witness to the sighting reported it to us and as part of our ongoing investigation we need to ascertain or indeed negate the possibility that the sighting of this object was witnessed by others and that it is indeed genuine with substance. “From the information we have so far in terms of size, distance and direction we believe that the object could well have been seen travelling in a south to north direction, passing over the Hadston area going towards Amble on the coast at a steady speed.” Mr Webb admitted that some people may take the nature of his work with an element of cynicism, but said that his request for witnesses is not a spoof. He then added: “With regard to any photos or video, all I can say at this juncture is there is no such corroboratory evidence that I am aware of at this stage of my investigation. “I am unable to reveal my witness to the events due to Mufon’s obligation to protect them. I would hope that my investigation may reveal further sources and subsequently give some corroboration to the sighting.” He has urged anyone who may have seen the object to contact him by emailing kw webbo64@blueyonder.co.uk He said: “Often with these types of things, people don’t really know who to contact and they often dismiss it or feel awkward due to the stigma attached. In that regard all persons contacting us are treated with total anonymity as a default position.” The Mutual UFO Network is an American-based non-profit organization that investigates cases of alleged UFO sightings. It is one of the oldest and largest civilian UFO-investigative organizations in the United States. It operates a worldwide network of regional directors, has more than 1,500 members worldwide and in excess of 75 field investigators. It also has specialised teams to investigate possible physical evidence of any extraterrestrial craft.
A suspicious red light flashing near the International Space Station has again sparked UFO sighting rumours. The YouTube video was recorded from the live feeds from the ISS which shows a mysterious red dot flashing in outer space. It appears like a laser beam shot towards earth, Open Minds UFO Investigation reported. Some people suspect the light to be that of an extraterrestrial spacecraft attempting to communicate with Earth. While some other people suspect it to be a laser fired into the sky by the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope in order to create an artificial star. According to OPALS mission manager Matthew Abrahamson, the light was generated from a new laser communications system. "Four lasers from the ground station travel through the sky toward the space station. Under clear, dark background conditions, it's very easy for the payload to acquire the ground beacon.
