UFO in Chile Said to be the Size of Two Soccer Stadiums

UFOlogists in Chile say that this image is of an enormous, unidentified object spotted over a reservoir in the southern part of the country.

From a translation of the news report on Inexplicata:

The photo of an alleged UFO in Chile has left more than one viewer startled after that country's Comité de Estudios de Fenómenos Aéreos Anomalos (CEFAA) confirmed its authenticity.

The image was taken in the area known as El Yeso Reservoir by a Venezuelan couple living in the southern country. The image was investigated by CEFFA through its director general, Gen. Ricardo Bermudez (Ret.).read more

John Lennon's UFO-inspired Art Fetches Big Bucks

In 1967, when John Lennon wrote his classic Beatles hit, "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds," everyone assumed the psychedelic song was about drugs.
Few would have guessed that several years later, a sober Lennon would see something far different in the sky -- a UFO -- and it would have a profound influence on his life.
A drawing of that 1974 sighting, sketched for his "Walls and Bridges" album, depicts what appears to be a classic flying saucer with the word "UFOer" written on the bottom of the object.

On a blisteringly hot afternoon this month, an unusual gathering took place in the city of Bobo-Dioulasso in the west African country of Burkina Faso. Shaded by red and green striped canopies, a couple of hundred people stood in reverential silence around a laptop. On screen, a man with a carefully clipped beard, dressed head-to-toe in white, addressed them via Skype from Japan.
The speaker was a spiritual leader known as Rael, the founder of one of the world's largest UFO sects, and he was online to announce the arrival of the first clitoral repair hospital in Africa.

UFOs sighted in southern Alberta, claims family

Here is one picture the Martine family was able to take of the flying object that hovered over their cattle fields.

A mother and daughter who live on a ranch just outside of Nanton are scratching their heads after a couple of unidentified flying objects flew over their southern Alberta home late last Sunday night.

He’s known to be a pioneering astronaut and recently decided to talk about an encounter in space that he can’t explain. UFOs are usually the stuff of movies or conspiracy theorists but in 2005, Chiao noticed something that has him wondering about “life out there.” In 2005, Chiao was flying high as commander of the International Space Station. Living there from October 2004 until April 2005, Chiao got to see some things that he didn’t expect. While he and Russian cosmonaut Salizhan Sharipov were taking a stroll outside of the ISS something caught Chiao’s attention. The two were putting together some navigational antennas 230 miles above the ground and flying at 17,000 miles an hour when something went by them, traveling even faster. Chiao says that he saw some lights that he thought were in a line. When the lights flew by him, Chiao thought it was “…awfully strange.” Sharipov didn’t see the lights. He was looking the other way. VIDEO: Man shares UFO experience on national TV

MYRTLE BEACH, SC -- One Myrtle Beach buresiness owner who had a close encounter of the third kind is sharing his story with the world.
Gary Travis sent a video to WMBF News back in 2011, of several strange orbs he spotted off the coast.
"I'd never seen anything like it," Travis said during a 2011 interview with WMBF News, "not in my experience."

Travis's has witnessed UFOs five times as a pilot. Now, he's featured in a Science Channel special, Uncovering Aliens.
"Next thing I know, this British Studio's calling me up and asks me to be on our show," Travis told WMBF News Thursday.
According to the National UFO Reporting Center, there's nearly 1,200 reports of UFO sightings in South Carolina, many of which are reported right in the Grand Strand.

Delaware: More cougars than UFOS

Delaware has its share of news about "sightings."
Cougar sightings are pretty popular. Sightings of rock musicians at the beaches. Biden sightings.
There aren't as many Elvis sightings as I'd like. And there aren't that many UFO sightings in Delaware.
Of the more than 6,500 UFO sightings in the United States in 2013, just 14 were in Delaware, according to the 2013 UFO hot spots map on outerplaces.com. That's about 1.6 sightings per 100,000 people.
The hottest spots for UFO sightings in the U.S. were Arizona, with 4.05 sightings per 100,000 people, and Maine, with 3.87.
